First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield is a welcoming, Christ-centered congregation committed in faith and love to embracing, nurturing, and equipping all to serve God.

In Hope

God is moving, and we follow forward by worshipping, welcoming, celebrating, connecting, and ministering.

Our

Sundays in worship

Let the children come. FPCD is known in our community as the place where kids and youth like to come. We are also the spiritual home of adults in all stages and circumstances. We are not just the church of the future but the church of the present. In worship, we encounter the living God and become friends with each other.

Sunday Service in the Sanctuary
starts at 9:30 a.m.

ADULT FORUM: The Greatness of the Constitution

Why do we talk about the U.S. Constitution as something that belongs to us — “our” Constitution, “our” rights — and argue about the meaning of the document in quite personal ways? Perhaps it is in part because the U.S. Constitution, the oldest of its kind, is entwined with the story of the founding of the nation and represents not only how we structure our national governing body, but also how we see ourselves and who we aspire to be as a people. Our instructor is Helen Crowley, retired after a 32-year career teaching History at Deerfield High School. She taught U.S. History, European and World Histories and has a BA in American Studies from Amherst College and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from DePaul University.
